Doorstep Theatre Festival

Doorstep Theatre is a touring partnership between Torbay and internationally acclaimed producers Battersea Arts Centre. The next season of Doorstep Theatre will run from 24-31 March 2018.

Through local organisation Doorstep Arts, the Collaborative Touring Network is providing amazing theatre performances in non-traditional theatre spaces. It also creates opportunities for regional theatre-makers, workshops with artists, new regular weekly offerings for participating in theatre locally, and performance platforms for existing theatre groups in Torbay.

In between festivals, we are programming exciting local and regionally created work, building regular sustainable theatre offerings throughout the year.

As the winter snows begin to fall, an old man called Arthur lives all alone in his attic. He never ventures into the outside world; instead he spends all of his time with his only friend - the moon.

But now, Arthur needs your help! On Christmas night, the clouds cover the sky and the moon is nowhere to be seen. Without his friend, Arthur’s feels more alone than ever before.

Bursting with poetry, puppetry, live music and imagination, PaddleBoat Theatre Company invite you to help Arthur find the moon in time for Christmas – with your help, who knows what else he might discover outside his front door…
